Privacy Policy

ESPChecker ("the app," "we," "us") is a simple prediction game. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how it's used. We've deliberately kept the app's data footprint minimal.

What we collect

• A handle you choose. When you first open the app, you create a display name ("handle") of your choosing. We explicitly recommend not using your real name. This handle is not linked to your identity, email, or device in any way we can trace back to you personally.
• Gameplay data. Each completed game records the grid level played, the number of tries it took, a timestamp, and the handle it's associated with. This powers your personal stats (average, streak) and the public leaderboard.
• Beta signup information (optional). If you request a TestFlight invite through our website, we collect the email address and device OS you provide, solely to send you an invite and related updates about the beta. This is entirely separate from in-app gameplay data and is never linked to a handle.

What we do NOT collect

• Your real name or phone number
• Your precise location
• Contacts, photos, or any other data on your device
• Any account or login within the app itself — there is no sign-up beyond choosing a handle

The only exception is the optional beta signup form on our website, described above, which asks for an email address purely to send you a TestFlight invite.

How your data is stored

Your chosen handle is saved on your device (via standard iOS local storage) so you don't have to re-enter it each time you open the app. Gameplay data (handle, level, tries, timestamp) is sent to our backend server and logged for the purpose of computing leaderboards and personal statistics. Beta signup data (email, device OS) is stored separately and used only to manage TestFlight invites. Neither data set is sold or shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Cross-promotion

ESPChecker occasionally shows a promotional screen for other apps made by the same developer (such as XpressAble, XpressAble Pro, and XpressLingo). This content — app names, descriptions, and logo images — is fetched from our own server, not a third-party advertising network. No advertising identifiers are collected, no tracking occurs, and nothing about your device is shared with anyone. Tapping "Get the App" simply opens that app's listing on the App Store.

Children's privacy

ESPChecker is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The handle system is specifically designed to avoid collecting identifying information from any user, regardless of age.

Data retention and deletion

Since handles are not linked to any personally identifying information, we have no way to independently locate or delete a specific individual's gameplay data on request. If you'd like your gameplay history removed, contact us with the exact handle you used and we'll remove the associated records. If you'd like your beta signup email removed instead, contact us with that email address and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
